Colorado. Over 300 days
of sunshine, fourteen
thousand foot mountains,
free flowing rivers, and
sandstone cliffs surround
Dunbar’s home and make
a stunning backdrop to all
of his close-to-home photographic adventures.

For the last 15+ years Dunbar has also traveled the world with a camera and notebook in tow capturing the true character of some of the world’s most exotic locations. Thru the lens and pen, Dunbar has tried to record, as accurately as possible, what is life like for other cultures, and what do their surroundings feel like. Dunbar’s curiosity and sense of exploration has taken him on editorial expeditions to the magical Kingdom of Bhutan in the Eastern Himalayas, the Far Eastern Corner of Russia, the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, the rugged West Coast of New Zealand, the exotic Yunnan Province of China, and the arid desert of Eastern Turkey to name a few locations.

Dunbar holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Education and is also a graduate from the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. Dunbar’s deep care for the natural world and his sincere engagement with others makes him a passionate and creative advocate. Dunbar ultimately strives to create images and stories that capture the truth and inspire others to appreciate the world all around us.
